Kampung Sungai Melayu, Johor. Here lies true harmony with nature. A true hidden gem, Kampung Sungai Melayu is a small fisherman village located in Johor Bharu district, built around a mangrove swamp and river which houses a diverse ecosystem of flora and fauna. This area is a haven for nature and animal lovers, sporting from fishes to incredible snakes to playful leaf monkeys and long-tailed macaques, to both majestic local and migratory birds and even crocodiles if you’re lucky enough (which I wasn’t🤣). Well I hope this mangrove area will stay preserved from any disturbance as it is home to a large number of the world's plant and animals species, including many endangered species. A truly amazing experience, Kampung Sungai Melayu will always have a special place in my heart.
